Amanda has 20 years experience in the health, fitness, and rehabilitation field. Prior to her osteopathic journey, Amanda completed an Honours Kinesiology degree with a Minor in Biology at McMaster University. She spent a number of years working in physiotherapy, chiropractic, fitness, and physical rehabilitation centres.
Amanda’s experience in rehabilitative settings lead her to explore additional forms of treatment and she was immediately drawn to Osteopathy. Amanda is guided by the belief that the body is able to heal and adapt with the help of appropriate manual therapy, proper nutrition, and movement.
She is a classically trained Osteopathic Manual Practitioner, receiving her Masters in Practice of Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences from the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy, Amanda is a member in good standing with the Ontario Osteopathic Association (OOA) and Osteopathy Canada (OSTCAN).
Amanda has always had a love for animals. After she finished her Masters, she completed the 12 month graduate program in Animal Osteopathy. Amanda treats small animals in the clinic and does barn visits for horses and livestock.
Amanda loves helping people and animals in her career of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. When not treating in the clinic or at the barn, she enjoys hiking, weight training, reading, spending time with loved ones, and being outdoors.
Rowan is a classically trained Osteopathic Manual Practitioner with a Master of Practice in Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences (MOMSc.) from the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy.
Her journey with Osteopathy began as a patient seeking care for figure skating injuries. As a lifelong competitive athlete, Rowan developed a profound respect for the intricate systems within the human body and a deep understanding of how injuries impact both physical and mental well-being. This personal experience, combined with her passion for helping others, inspired her to pursue a career in Osteopathy.
Rowan’s approach emphasizes the importance of holistic care, addressing the physical, emotional, and mental aspects of health. Rowan provides Osteopathic care that focuses on pain relief, posture improvement, and body alignment. She specializes in reducing strain on muscles and joints, enhancing mobility, and promoting overall well-being. She strives to empower her clients with the tools they need to manage pain and improve their quality of life.
In addition to her osteopathic practice, Rowan is a figure skating coach and competitive synchronized skater. Her unique perspective as both an athlete and practitioner gives her valuable insight into the physical demands placed on athletes and the specialized care they require.
