Amanda has 20 years experience in the health, fitness, and rehabilitation field. Prior to her osteopathic journey, Amanda completed an Honours Kinesiology degree with a Minor in Biology at McMaster University. She spent a number of years working in physiotherapy, chiropractic, fitness, and physical rehabilitation centres.
Amanda’s experience in rehabilitative settings lead her to explore additional forms of treatment and she was immediately drawn to Osteopathy. Amanda is guided by the belief that the body is able to heal and adapt with the help of appropriate manual therapy, proper nutrition, and movement.
She is a classically trained Osteopathic Manual Practitioner, receiving her Masters in Practice of Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences from the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy, Amanda is a member in good standing with the Ontario Osteopathic Association (OOA) and Osteopathy Canada (OSTCAN).
Amanda has always had a love for animals. After she finished her Masters, she completed the 12 month graduate program in Animal Osteopathy. Amanda treats small animals in the clinic and does barn visits for horses and livestock.

Mindy completed her studies at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy in March, 2024. Her studies included principle based Classical Osteopathy, with a focus on anatomy, physiology, and collective mechanics. In this context, the body is assessed and treated holistically, acknowledging the connection between structure and function.
As an Osteopathic Manual Therapist, all layers of tissues are addressed, including the fascia, neuromuscular, ligamentous, bony and visceral. Treatment is applied to the body in various ways depending on what is needed and treatment can be used for acute, subacute, and chronic conditions. Each person is unique and their bodies have different patterns of compensation which helps to guide treatment. In essence, Osteopathy works to free up the body to enable its own inherent self-healing and self-regulating abilities.
Manual Osteopathic therapy can be valuable in reducing pain, improving range of motion and symmetry, addressing issues with arterial supply, venous drainage, lymphatic flow and nerve function, and can help to improve the overall vitality and constitution of a patient.
